From the make up of your revenues and clientele to your investment philosophy and client service model, we work hard to fully understand every aspect of the practice you are looking to sell.

 

Through our in-depth discovery process, we consider and analyze the areas of your practice that are most important for potential acquirers to ensure you are represented accurately in the best possible light.

 

Evaluate:

Using up-to-date industry metrics and our findings during the Assessment phase we develop a deep understanding of your client relationships and the future growth they may provide to a potential successor. This provides you and the buyer with an excellent framework for the valuation of the practice.
 

Based on the complexity of your practice, we often recommend a third party, formal valuation to aid future acquirers in obtaining financing. We have several firms vetted and on call that can deliver in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Introduce & facilitate

After we have Assessed and Evaluated your practice, we introduce you and your team to vetted potential buyers.

 

For any potential buyer to be part of our list they need to have demonstrated:

 

  • Financial wherewithal through their own funding, lines of credit, or pre-approval financing by well known financial institutions operating in the acquisitions of wealth management practices.

  • Operational know how, bandwidth, and experience to properly execute a smooth transition for you and your clients.

  • A well-defined investment process and client service model.

  • Complementary values and culture to fit your clients and your firm.

 

Negotiate

During the negotiation phase, we help you explore the optimal conditions and financing structure for your sale of your practice. It is not just about the price! A good transaction includes the appropriate introduction and transition period for your clients and your firm.

 

Back-end payments, if any, must be well defined, fair, and equitable to both parties while remaining easy to evaluate and calculate. We have the experience to counsel you and, if the need arises, introduce you to other qualified professionals to help close the transaction properly.

Preferred Member

We keep a list of Advisors/Teams/Firms that have a strong interest in acquiring wealth management practices. To be included in our list, we due diligence to determine the ability and readiness of each potential buyer.

 

Practices are assessed based on the following criteria:

  1. Financial strength and capability to finance or buy outright a potential seller of practice (size and limits)

  2. Operational ability to effect and absorb a large quantity of new clients

  3. Value and belief alignment with seller’s profile

  4. Investment process and client service model

  5. Credentials (Certifications, industry licenses, CPA, etc.)

  6. Regulatory record and reputation in the marketplace

  7. Marketing collateral
     

If you are approved, you will join our select group of potential purchasers for any seller with whom we engage.

Every sale is done through a closed auction process, whereby we reach out to the firms that best qualify for the opportunity. We match each seller with up to three Preferred Members.

Sourcing Service

Through our resources, we create target markets that only include practices  you may be interested in buying.

 

Once we agree on the target market, we coordinate a campaign to contact these practices via various strategies (calling, social media, direct mail, etc.) and craft a tailored message that represents your firm in the best possible light.

Based on the complexity and length of the engagement, we charge a fixed retainer fee which is reimbursed pending the placement fee for said acquisition.
